18 April 2019

Thank you for your interest and feedback in relation to the North Point Café. There has been significant community interest in this matter. A report summarising the project will be presented to Council at the April Ordinary Meeting held 23 April 2019. The Council Report can be accessed in the Council meeting agenda.

The community engagement resulted in over 300 contributions with 67%’support the extension of operating hours and amendment of the liquor licence’ and 80% support the ‘expansion of the café footprint into the rear car park’.

The report considers four potential options summarised as follows:

Option 1 – Demolish and Rebuild with Liquor License amendment

Option 2 – Refurbish with Liquor License amendment

Option 3 – Refurbish without Liquor License

Option 4 – Go to Market at the end of the lease (2021)

The report recommends that Council adopt Option 1.
