At its June meeting, Council endorsed option B as the preferred design to upgrade the dog off-leash space within Wishart Reserve.

Design option B was created in response to feedback received during community consultation earlier this year. The design allows for areas of quiet exploratory/sensory investigation by dogs, and open interactive and social play, while also balancing community needs with the addition of a separate pedestrian access route through to Bluff Road. Play elements, such as the digging pit have also been positioned further away from neighbouring properties.

Following Council’s endorsement of the dog park design, a tender process will commence in July 2023 to build the park.

Once a tender is awarded, works will begin on site. It is expected that works will commence later this year and take approximately four months to complete.
