Community views about the proposed upgrade to the Wishart Reserve dog off leash area varied and some common issues and alternative solutions were raised.

What we’re doing:

Council officers are now considering information from key stakeholders and the detailed feedback gathered through the community consultation. This includes amending the existing design to address common issues raised and also investigating a new design that includes the provision of a throughfare.

We were hoping to be able to present the final design to the May 2023 Council meeting. Instead, potential amended designs are being currently considered and are expected to be presented at the 27 June 2023 Council meeting. An interim report will be presented to the May Council meeting outlining this.

A complete report on the findings from community engagement will be published with the June Council meeting agenda.
