Bayside Council have engaged a third party to undertake a full review of Council’s Community Grants Program.
The review will involve benchmarking the grants program against best practice grant management in Local Government as well as collecting key insights and feedback through community consultation.
We will be collecting feedback from Council staff and from anyone who has been involved in the process of applying, receiving, assessing, approving or awarding a grant through Councils Annual Community Grants and Quick Response Grant Streams.
Feedback will be collected via the online survey and during two face-to-face workshops planned in early December.
The recommendations developed from the review will be used to improve all aspects of Councils Community Grants program.
Have your say by filling in the survey below or if you would prefer to provide your feedback in person click through the link below to register your interest in attending a workshop. Feedback will close on 1 December 2024.
The Community Grants program plays a pivotal role in supporting community groups and non for-profit organisations to strengthen and enrich community life through the provision of an improved range of leisure, cultural, community development, environmental, health, education, sporting and welfare programs and activities.
Our grants programs are available to:
- assist community organisations to establish, extend and improve programs and services that address local needs;
- encourage voluntary activity, community participation and the contribution of local groups and organisations to community life;
- promote community development and partnership opportunities to address community needs
Bayside runs two grants programs:
- Quick Response Grants, various streams of funding offering targeted opportunities year round.
- The Annual Community Grants program, open for applications annually between April-May
