Trader update 7: 4 November 2019

4 November 2019

Careful with the asphalt

Newly laid asphalt on the footpath needs a few weeks to harden so please be careful. The early heat has meant that the asphalt hasn’t had time to cure properly. We suggest:

• When using furniture without broad feet, consider using protective pads that spread the load on fresh asphalt.

• Advise staff or customers not to park motorbikes on the footpath where new asphalt has been laid. Existing depressions in the asphalt will be rectified during the closing stages of the project.
