Update on Beaumaris Reserve Sports Pavilion

29 December 2020

Council awarded the contract to construct the Beaumaris Reserve Sports Pavilion to FIMMA Constructions at its 22 December 2020 meeting.

The Frank Reade Sports Pavilion at 88 Reserve Road, Beaumaris has been identified in Council’s accelerated Sportsground Pavilion Improvement Plan as a high priority for renewal to ensure it meets the needs of players of any ability, age or gender.

The new pavilion provides contemporary facilities for community sport and responds to Bayside’s declaration of a climate emergency through environmentally sustainable design and native landscaping.

A planning permit for the pavilion was granted in August 2020. Minutes of that Council meeting are available to read here.

It is expected that construction of the new pavilion will commence early in 2021. We will inform you of the commencement date, when confirmed with the appointed contractor.

This project is part of Council’s Active by the Bay Recreation Strategy and does not include any works associated with the Beaumaris Arts Group Studio.

For more information, you can view the report in the Council agenda or minutes of the meeting. A recording of the Council meeting is also be available to watch here.
