Council will consider membership applications for the Disability Access and Inclusion Advisory Committee at its meeting at 6.30pm on Tuesday 16 March 2021. You can read the agenda for that meeting here.

Thirty Expressions of Interest have been received of impressive quality and diversity. Selection will be based on criteria within the Committee’s Terms of Reference, ensuring members are representative of the diversity of disability, have strong links to Bayside, and active and broad community connections. Membership will aim for a group representing a range of interests/expertise, ages, gender, cultures, and geographic locations across the municipality.

Council will inform all applicants of the outcome of this meeting and work with successful applicants to ensure they have any supports required to participate.

Following the Committee’s first meeting in late March, when we will have the opportunity to work through any individual requirements with members, we will profile the new Advisory Committee extensively through Council’s communications channels.
