The proposed concept design on the duplication of the Bay Trail from Sandown Street to Royal Brighton Yacht Club is now open for comment until 31 January 2019.

Feedback is also being sought on the draft North Road Foreshore Masterplan which has been prepared, detailing a number of key improvements, including:

• Enhanced safety and access with lighting on the Bay Trail
• Improvements to North Point Café
• Selective individual tree planting to provide more shade throughout the foreshore reserve
• Improvements to foreshore garden beds through replanting with appropriate coastal species
• Fencing small areas of the Sandown Street dog beach to protect vulnerable plant species
• Steps to access the water at North Road
• Effective stormwater management
• Coastal erosion protection
• Equitable parking arrangements
