Pennydale Structure Plan - We heard what you said

Over the last year Council has been developing a plan for how development should be managed in Pennydale in the future. Consultation on the draft Pennydale Structure Plan was held in March and April 2018, with many of you providing valuable feedback.

Based on that feedback we made changes to the plan and the Pennydale Structure Plan was presented to Council for adoption at the 19 June 2018 Council meeting. Council resolved at that meeting to defer adoption of the Pennydale Structure Plan to enable officers to clarify, and where appropriate refine the Structure Plan in consultation with members of the Pennydale Resident Action Group (PRAG).

The full Council Report can be viewed at page 125 (Item 10.4) here:

A number of meetings have been held between Council officers and PRAG representatives and a revised Pennydale Structure Plan has been prepared which addresses the majority of issues raised by the PRAG representatives. Given substantive changes have been made to the Plan, it is important that the wider community has an opportunity to comment on the proposed changes. Read minutes of the meetings between Council and the PRAG here.

You can view the revised Structure Plan and a summary of the changes that have been made.

Hard copies are also available at Council’s Corporate Centre, 76 Royal Ave, Sandringham or call/email us and a hardcopy can be posted to you.

What's next?

In October officers will present Council with the final structure plan and the results of the survey.

If Council decides to adopt the Structure Plan, a Planning Scheme Amendment will commence and the Pennydale community will receive information in the mail about how to be involved.
