Our new plan for pets 2026-2029
We’ve drafted a new Domestic Animal Management Plan (DAMP) to guide services and management of dogs and cats in Bayside over the next four years.
Earlier this year, during the first phase of our Pets and Public Spaces consultation we heard the community's call for actions that will increase responsible pet ownership and make it easier to comply with regulations and restrictions.
Proposed changes to the DAMP therefore focus on:
- Greater enforcement
- Simpler instructional signage and path markings.
- New educational materials for pet owners
Share your thoughts on the draft DAMP
It’s important we hear different perspectives, from pet owners and non-pet owners. Take the online survey or chat with us at one of the pop-up events.
