What you told us about the Budget 2026-27

12 June 2026

Thank you to everyone who participated in our consultation on the proposed Budget 2026-27 and Council Plan 2025-2029 Year 2 Action Plan.

Between 23 April and 17 May 2026, we received 93 submissions from community members via surveys, written statements and direct correspondence.

Council will consider your feedback at its meeting on 16 June 2026. You can find out how to participate in this meeting and access the full community engagement report below.

Community feedback on both the proposed Budget 2026–27 and the Council Plan Year 2 Action Plan was concentrated around key areas of concern: financial pressure, core infrastructure, and value for money.

Your feedback highlights a clear community expectation for Council to focus on core services, maintenance and financial responsibility, while continuing to invest in community facilities, safety and sustainability.

These insights are being carefully considered alongside Council’s strategic priorities and long-term plans.
