Council resolved at Council Meeting on 26 October 2021 to sell the land at 126 Carpenter Street, Brighton, to the adjoining business owner at 124 Carpenter Street, Brighton.

A report outlining the proposal and a summary of the community feedback was considered by Council at the meeting . The feedback in the Community engagement summary report showed that the community understood that the land size was very small and had limitations on use. Of the submissions received, 68.9% believed it was “common-sense” to sell.

Proceeds from the sale will form part of Council’s budget and will contribute to important community projects as outlined in the Bayside 2050 Community Vision.
