Change our Game

We have drafted the new Fair Access Policy and Fair Access Action Plan to provide a consistent framework to support women, girls, and others in sport. The policy and action plan will strategically prioritise, improve, develop, and manage Bayside’s sport and active recreation facilities and opportunities.

The new policy is in response to the Fair Access in Sport Policy Roadmap developed by the Office for Women in Sport and Recreation, in partnership with Sport and Recreation Victoria.

We’re seeking feedback on the draft Policy and Action Plan to understand community priorities for:

  • Enhancing gender equity in sport and active recreation.

  • Advocating for leadership, and governance.

  • Addressing participation barriers.

  • Improving accessibility and inclusion.

  • Education and partnership opportunities.

  • Infrastructure management, improvements and development.

  • Opportunities for players, coaches, administrators, volunteers, and spectators.

The Fair Access Policy and Action Plan will align to the 6 guiding principles as set out by the Office of Woman in Sport and Recreation:
