At its June meeting, Council adopted a new Fair Access Policy and Fair Access Action Plan following consideration of community feedback.

The new Policy and Action Plan sets out the framework to provide fair access to facilities, all gendered infrastructure, participation opportunities and will help to guide Council decision-making for a more even playing field.

It will inform how policies, strategies, plans, services, and sport and recreation infrastructure can meet the diverse needs of women and girls in sport and active recreation. It will also drive in-practice and cultural change, and help to implement inclusive practices, governance, and communication priorities, helping to ensure sporting environments are welcoming, accessible, inclusive, and fair for everyone.
