Other suggested uses included activities for young people, access to nature and some local traders wanted permitted parking.
Park uses were consistent across key stakeholder groups, apart from traders and workers who preferred ‘A place to meet/socialise with friends’ (33)Overall community members asked for a mix of exotic plants and native plants (273, 72%) and a mix of lawn and mulch or bush as groundcover (307, 80%).

Council decides
The Community Engagement report will be considered at the Council Meeting on 17 June 2025.
Design and construction of the park
If supported by the community and Council, a detailed design will be created incorporating feedback from the community. We would expect construction could commence from mid-2026.
