Access Issues - The Bay Trail, Beach Access Paths and Shared Access Path

<p>Safe pedestrian and cycle access to the beach and along Beach Road is a priority for Council.</p> <p>The Bay Trail which runs alongside the beach is too narrow, especially given the amount of traffic it receives. </p> <p>The draft masterplan is proposing to widen the path from Green Point and the groyne north of the Brighton Life Saving Club to improve safety and visibility. Some vegetation will be lost to accommodate these changes.</p> <p>The draft masterplanning process revealed that the steep access ramp located between the bathing boxes and Life Saving Club was unsafe.
