The car park off Beach Road

One of the key features of the Draft Masterplan is the reconfigured Beach Rd car park. The proposed changes to the car park include:

A safe space to alight from buses

A shared access path to allow disability access, pram and bike access as well as access for emergency and utility vehicles

These new features fit in the existing car park footprint, meaning that the nature reserve to the south hasn’t been affected, nor the grassed slopes to the north. A total of nine car spaces will be lost to allow for the new features.

Do you think the area to alight safely from buses should be included?

Do you think the shared access path is important?

How important is car parking?

Should the footprint of the car park extend south into the nature reserve to keep car spaces?

What about the grassed dune area to the north?
