We actually need MORE parking in Highett. A NEW Car park. The Council has been and still is, hell bent on Overdeveloping the whole area and Overcrowding our streets. They are not developing new Infrastructure, such as Car Parks. The Bayside area generally, needs more FREE parking. Someone has to inform Bayside Council there are 7000 people moving into Melbourne every month. We are under serious strain already.

The south-eastern (Beaumaris Life Saving Club) end of the Ricketts Point car park would benefit from a substantial makeover.

The public carpark behind 12 Bay Rd seems to be largely unknown. Better signage is required to differentiate it from a private carpark. Alternatively expand it eg underground and convert it into paid commuter parking by having the minimum charge equal to 6 hrs parking eg $2 per hour minimum $12.
