UPDATE May 2022: Our retrofit playgrounds are running a little behind schedule. Supply chain issues and equipment deliveries have held us up but we look forward to bring you exciting new playspaces really soon!

We have listened to your feedback and we are revisiting a few playgrounds to get them right. We’ve heard that they didn’t quite hit the mark and that’s why we have gone back to the drawing board and re-designed some elements of Robert Grieve, Bamfield, Basterfield and Allambee Reserve playgrounds.

Parts of each playground will be fenced off for the safety of the community and our workers during construction. Please see the schedule below for when each playground will be retrofitted (weather and material supply permitting):




Robert Grieve

Burrows Street, Brighton

15 March – early May 2022

21 March – late May 2022

Alambee Park playground

The existing main play unit will be demolished and replaced with a new swing set, play unit and comet spinner.

Bamfield Reserve Playground

The existing climbing net, play unit and balance beam and will be replaced with a new play unit and climbing net shown below:

Demolish existing multi-play structure with new Playtime square below.

The existing cubby/slide structure will be replaced with the Playtime square structure below:
