Council has received authorisation from the Minister of Planning to undertake a planning scheme amendment, which is known as Amendment C192bays.

This planning scheme amendment will introduce a heritage overlay based on those properties identified in the Post-War Modern Residential Heritage Study, this includes 59 individual properties, plus a group listing of eight properties.

Public exhibition of this amendment will run from 7 September to 19 October 2023.

The exhibition process will allow property owners and stakeholders the opportunity to support or object to the proposed heritage controls. Letters have been sent to affected property owners.

Where submissions are received seeking changes to the proposed amendment, a request will be made to the Minister for Planning to appoint an independent Planning Panel to consider those submissions received.
