Protecting Post-War Heritage in Bayside: Panel Hearing stage

13 February 2024

Planning Scheme Amendment C192bays, which proposes to partly implement recommendations of the City of Bayside - Post-War Modern Residential Heritage Study 2022 and introduce a Heritage Overlay to 59 proposed individual heritage places and 1 proposed group listing, has now progressed to the Panel Hearing Stage.

An Independent Planning Panel Hearing will be held from Monday 26 February 2024, to consider submissions made to Council during the public exhibition period and referred to the Panel for consideration.

Following the conclusion of the Panel Hearing, the Panel members will prepare a Panel Report providing recommendations on how the Amendment should proceed and this will be provided to Council. Council must then consider the Panel’s report before it decides whether to adopt the amendment and submit it to the Minister for Planning recommending approval.
